Valerie Akumu is the head of our Conveyancing, Banking and Finance, and Corporate/Commercial Team. She has extensive experience in real estate matters including providing legal and strategic advice on project developments, the perfection of securities, property sale, and purchase transactions. She also has experience in commercial matters including negotiating and drafting commercial agreements and advising companies on regulatory and legal frameworks in different sectors.
Attributed to her wealth of experience, Valerie can be counted on successfully incorporating a multinational conglomerate of companies in Sub- Saharan Africa, registering trademarks in the said jurisdictions, and advising on the ideal corporate governance practices and structures for the companies. Her versatility in law has seen her obtain sector-specific licenses and approvals on behalf of Clients from a different states in Kenya.
